And for those of you who would LOVE to stay at these spaces but they are a little out of your price range – I got you.. Keep your eyes peeled!

Whispering Valley Cottages, Maleny

These stunning cottages are nestled in a tranquil 46 acre property amongst breathtaking nature in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, only a short 15 minutes from the centre of Maleny. They have a range of Hideaway Cottages which all have a log fire place, king size bed, spa bath for two, espresso coffee machine, Webber BBQ, hammock… honestly they have everything including in room massage!

If maybe you are looking to have a couples weekend away, a girls retreat, a boys getaway... basically, any type of stay with 4-5 people, they also have the 2 bedroom Tree Haven Cottage and the 2 bedroom Bush Pavillion – all secluded with the facilities listed above.

The best bit – log fire + In-house massage available.. Need we say more

The Granary, Biddaddaba (Scenic Rim)

With travel restrictions still in place, and international travel looking to be far far away, the dream of staying in Tuscany among the olive groves may not be as far away as you think! The Granary is one of the newest additions to the unique romantic getaways, nestled in the foothills of Tambourine Mountain on a working Olive Grove named “Oliva Di Tabragalba”.

Originally used to store the olives, The Granary has been beautifully restored into a quaint heritage accommodation and is the perfect base to explore the local Scenic Rim wineries! Imagine waking up, opening your French doors to overlook over 1,000 olive trees whilst having your morning coffee… heavan..

The best bit – What is not to love? With the option to enjoy the ‘Camp Out’ experience with stone fire pit cooked meals, strolling through the grove, adding a breakfast platter to your stay – they even have a Market Store where you can purchase luxury goods!

Nightfall Camp, Lamington National Park

This has been on my bucket list since I moved to Brisbane (or at least feels that way), and am waiting for the day my partner surprises me with a stay here – but if I need to wait any longer, I think I am going to take myself!

Nightfall Camp is set in a large and mostly untouched pocket of Lamington National Park, Queensland beside the crystal-clear headwaters of Christmas Creek. Stepping away from modern life, the beautiful ‘glamping’ tents have everything you need for an unwind.

The best bit – They gather your food likes and dislikes prior to your stay and craft a fire-cooked meal either with your fellow guests, or privately at your tent! Yes please!

Ketchups Bank Glamping, Scenic Rim

Located in Cannon Creek via Boonah, this luxury retreat is the perfect spot to enjoy the country surroundings with peace and quiet. Each tent comes with a private alfresco area, private campfire, ensuite, mountain views, abundant wildlife and a bunch more!

The best bit – you can add a hamper on your stay from a DIY Damper kit to a full Country Breakfast Hamper!

Dayboro Cottages, Dayboro

Only an hours drive north of Brisbane City, Dayboro Cottages are the perfect short stay getaway. With your own kitchenette, private balcony overlooking Dayboro Valley, access to a pizza oven and some cottages with spa baths, they make for a simple breath of fresh air.

Dayboro is an underrated small town filled with cute pubs, cafes, parks, hiking, scenic drives – everything you need to make your weekend a beautiful one!

The best bit – It is so close to home!
